OEM

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) means Original Equipment Manufacturer for cars. An automobile manufacturer is referred to as an OEM when it produces customized parts or components for the vehicles of another automobile manufacturer. These customized parts can enhance the performance of the vehicle or be sold under a different brand.

For example, an automobile manufacturer can produce OEM battery, tires, brake pads, or steering systems to be sold under its own brand. OEM parts are similar to the original spare parts and can often be used as a replacement for the original spare parts.
